Building Collective Efficacy: What process did your school take in developing your School Growth Plan?
Our school team collaborated to identify our school values, strengths, and areas for improvement. We utilized both collaboration and staff meeting time to thoughtfully outline our school growth plan, which included clear District Strategic Plan connections, two formal school goals, reflective practice, and next steps.
Evidence-Informed: What data is driving your goal(s)?
Our school team is committed to using a combination of satellite, map, and street data to triangulate the growth and learning experience of all students. This will be achieved by balancing and collecting the voices of learners, families, and educators. Data resources that will be used are Student Learning Surveys, FSA, MDI, District Math Screeners, and student panels.

Actions: What will we do to support all learners?
Goal 1: At BX, we recognize that students, not only staff, need to know and take action to reach our collective school goal. To accomplish this numeracy goal, we will engage in a wide range of class, school, and community strategies. These may include, but are not limited to, inquiry learning, play-based learning, outdoor learning, cross-curricular planning, engaging grade group math events, math focus during buddy class time, math-focused clubs, and professional development. Goal 2: At BX, we value relationships and know that greater connections to self, others, and place allow learners to have positive school experiences. To accomplish this social-emotional goal, we will engage in a wide range of class, school, and community strategies. These may include, but are not limited to, sharing circles, school spirit events, collaborative art projects, garden projects, workshops on mindfulness, mental health presentations, and professional development.
Reflections & Results:
Goal 1: Our team has established that we will work on this goal for three school years. The First Peoples Principals of Learning remind us that learning takes patience and time. At the end of each year, we will review our progress using a combination of satellite (e.g. FSA results), map (e.g. District Math Screeners), and street data (e.g. student panels). We will triangulate our data by balancing and collecting the voices of learners, families, and educators. Goal 2: Our team has established that we will work on this goal for three school years. Next Steps:
Goal 1: In the fall of the 2024-2025 school year, we will review this goal and outline specific next steps based on our current learners and context. We know that our goals and actions need to be student-centered, and understanding our learners is the important first step.
